This book is written by Rob Lowe and it is him telling stories. He knew John Kennedy Jr! They were friends! He has got to be one of the coolest people ever but his life was not easy. He was born in Virginia but grew up in Ohio before moving to California when he was 12. He had gotten used to Ohio and it was hard to make friends at first in California. But eventually he ran into Chris and Sean Penn and Charlie and Emilio Estevez making movies. It was perfect because they made movies and played baseball. Rob also got to meet people like Liza Minelli, John Belushi, Aaron Spelling, Bernie Brillstien (who would soon become his manager), Martin Sheen, LeVar Burton, Sarah Jessica Parker, and got to be on the set of Star Wars back when it was an "indy movie." He always had older girls chasing him too...

He gets his television acting debut in a Coke commercial (I told you he was my hero) with the help of his manager who is Holly Robinson's mom. He also kind of dated Holly Robinson... And then A New Kind of Family calls him to audition and he got the part. The show only lasts 1 season but he met Janet Jackson who then decided to switch to singing and Rob went back to school where he wasn't appreciated. His first real movie is the Outsiders with Emilio and Emilio's friend Tom Cruise. With this movie he gets fame and it starts his teen alcoholic and drug phase.

Around this time he makes a lot of movies and some of them are kind of successful. He also meets a lot of his soon to be best friend actors. With all the new friends it becomes easy to get movies like St. Elmo's fire where the Brat Pack was born with Emilio as the lead. He was on SNL and they were worried that he would be boring but turns out he's hilarious. He then took a break to go political and eventually went to rehab where he decided it was time to get a real relationship. He started dating his now wife and his life was changed forever. 

He got a call from Loren Michaels about a movie while in rehab and auditioned and if you ask me, he made the movie. The movie was Wayne's World and he went on to be in a lot of Mike Meyers movies. He got West Wing but fought with the behind the scenes people and they tried to make him background but he's a star and people loved him! He was on Parks and Rec with Amy Poehler who calls him Rolo... and we all know how close that cast was. He now has a show on A&E where he travels around the world explore myths and legends with his 2 sons. The Lowe Files started last fall.

I tried to tell you what his stories were about without telling you the stories. I am telling you that these stories are amazing. Rob Lowe has had a crazy life and he really makes you feel what he's been through. I recommend this book to everyone.

Lucy Hale is enough to sell this movie to me. But it was really good anyway. A little predictable but that's not surprising for a rom com. The fun thing about this movie is that it really has a real rivalry. And takes place in publishing. Is publishing that big of a deal? There seem to be a lot of movies and TV shows around publishing. But it's about this small, cute, sweet book publisher who merges with a bigger, stiffer, more capitalist book publisher. And then the teams war against each other. So a lot of it is about the work rivalry but it is also about Lucy and Austin Stowell and how they interact together. It's cute. I would totally watch it if I were you.

TV show Psychological thriller if there ever was one! Penn Badgley plays the perfect insane character! He's got this look that just scares the crap out of me! The main girl is amazing too but she's nothing compared to Penn. Shay Mitchell is also one of my favorite people from her Pretty Little Liars days. She also plays her character well and I love her. The story has enough real life to make it believable but also enough crazy to well make it crazy. This isn't going to be a long post because only season 1 is on Netflix so there is only 10 episodes but I think they're still going because IMDB has 2 seasons and they left it open. So I will wait patiently for the next installment because I like Penn anyway but this is a new level for him.

Baby is real

I think I felt the baby move. It was very trippy. But very cool as well. We also found out recently that it's a girl. I'm having a baby girl. Now that I'm showing and feeling it and can shop for it, it all seems more real. This isn't going to be a long post because there isn't a lot to say. I'm really not doing much but growing a human is enough for me I guess. So we've started shopping. We have a crib, a bassinet and some artwork for the nursery. Also we just have a bunch of cute clothes. Not anything real big although she's going to be born in winter. The next step is a carseat stroller combo. Any suggestions? Basically I want just a bunch of black or grey onsies for her easy clothes and then sweats and leggings to wear over them.
