Into the Blue

Movie Paul Walker and Jessica Alba come together to be in a movie basically about pretty people wearing swimsuits in 2005. Ok there is buried treasure, secret drug lords and government corruption; but that is an after thought basically. Well I think that is what they wanted the movie to be about... but the people just weren't believable as basically pirates. I could totally see Paul and Jess living in the Bahamas on a houseboat and doing what they have to do to support themselves. There were some unexpected people in this movie but I don't think Josh Brolin was famous yet. Well I guess that isn't really true because he was in The Goonies back in the 80's but as far as I know, he didn't do anything substantial again until 2007 and No Country for Old Men. Almost like Marrying Diane Lane was what made him successful. Tyson Beckford was also in it, but I could barely recognize him for some reason. I know this is an old movie, and I'd seen it before but I wante

Sleeping with Other People

Movie Alison Brie from Community and the Lego Movie and married to Dave Franco hooks up with Jason Sudeikis of SNL fame, star of We're the Millers and many other movies, and Fiancé to Olivia Wilde. So basically their Hollywood B list royalty and comedic gold! I thought this was a weird combination, mostly because I feel like Jason is much older than Alison... But they are only 7 years apart so it's not crazy, although they do play the same age in the movie. The movie was actually way funnier than I expected. And on top of the humor aspect, it was actually a cute ending too. The storyline seems weird at first but it's actually something that a lot of people would like to happen to them. It's a story about firsts and the issues that come with how we sometimes get with our "firsts." They both have the same beginning and ending but very different middles. It's an interesting concept. Also because I'm the one who has to name all of the random side act

Ibiza Love Drunk

Netflix movie Gillian Jacobs (from community and the Diet Coke commercials) goes to Spain and hooks up with a random Scottish DJ who is played by Richard Madden (Game of Thrones.) He is so hot and he seems even hotter than normal in this movie! It's just a random rom/com that takes place on a weekend business trip that is crashed by other people and they make it more fun. It also has Vanessa Bayer from SNL so that tells you the kind of humor it had in it. It is a lot of dumb jokes that I didn't appreciate but you know how I love the girl power adventure movies. This is a lot like Someone Great where there is a totally innocent girl that has to decide if she wants to let loose and have a crazy adventure or stay buttoned up and only focus on work. SPOILER! She chooses the fun and it still turns out ok for work. Because as we all know, as long as you have friends that will help you out everything will work out... Just kidding that doesn't help really.

Avengers "phase two"

Movies 2013-2015 Iron Man 3 was way better than the second movie and I like how Pepper ends up in the movie. It was close to being a disaster but they wrapped it up fantastically. I loved the new people added to the story line and I like that Happy is trying to find himself without Tony around because Tony doesn't need him anymore. I think that it is a very honest story line. Thor: The Dark World has Thor having to work with his archenemy/brother to save his girlfriend and I've mentioned it before that I love Natalie and Kat's characters in the first movie and they bring it again in this movie. I honestly feel that they just let Kat's Darci be Kat Denning's actual personality and I love it! Captain America: The Winter Soldier is probably the most shocking because of the Hydra angle. I did not see that coming! And I didn’t know how it would come back from that. I love Black Widow and I love anything that she is front and center in and this movie is one whe

Someone Great

Movie-Netflix Brittany Snow and Gina Rodriquez are my new heroes. I mean, I've always loved Brittany and Gina actually just seems like she's always that um.. up... I don't really know anything about DeWanda Wise, but her character was super relatable too. This is a movie about 3 girls who live in New York and have been friends since college. They are in 3 different phases of life though. 1 is in a stable relationship and at a stable job. Another is fresh off a breakup of a 9 year relationship, and she blames the breakup on having to move for her career. The other is having a hard time committing to being an adult. This is one of those shows where it's one day to celebrate the ending of old lives / beginning of new lives. They have to go all out because after tonight, they will be different people forever. One is even moving to San Francisco! I thought of this movie similar to Dude, but it's the almost 30 version of graduation. But like I loved seeing Lucy H

Battle

Movie- Netflix A rich girl who lives her life to dance, loses all her money and has to move to a more "urban" part of town. She meets a cute guy who teaches her how to break dance. You can guess how that turns out. She ends up getting in fights with all of her friends because she doesn't tell them that she lost her house. Naturally, she ends up losing everything but maybe getting more than she ever knew she wanted. I don't think she is a very good dancer. She really does look really stiff, like her instructor said she was. It was a typical dance movie. Girl meets boy and lets him loosen her up. It is Norwegian though. So that's unique for me anyway. It's pretty cool to see a different country in action.

Unicorn Store

Movie-Netflix Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson came together before Captain Marvel in this weird coming of age art film. It's trippy and not my type of movie either. It seems more Brie than Captain Marvel does. It is just so weird! It follows a failed art student who needs to find her way in the world. Luckily Sam Jack is always there to help when needed. He steps up to teach Kit how to succeed in life and lucky for the movie, she figures it out! She even makes a new friend who is excellent but I don't know anything else he has ever done. Mamaudou Athie did go to Yale Drama school though. Also Joan Cusack and Bradley Whitford play her parent which is fun. But it's an alright movie, nothing special though.

Everwood

TV show I absolutely loved this show at first. The characters are so relate-able and real and it was filmed in Utah which is cool. Emily Van Camp and Chris Pratt are in it and obviously they are on top of the world right now. And Sarah Drew was a nice surprise. I didn't know she was in it until watching. This show is about relationships and people and I love it. But it was so slow and it became the show that I slept through. I watched the first 2 and a half seasons like crazy but then I fell asleep, and missed like 3 episodes and even though I went back and rewatched but it messed up my momentum and I never recovered. But the ending was the perfect ending to this kind of show. Everyone ends up happy and fantastic! Fun fact, did you know that Emily VanCamp and Chris Pratt dated while filming. But they obviously didn't last and I'll bet they didn't even finish the show together. And Emily VanCamp is currently engaged to her Revenge costar and Gregory Smith just marr

The Last Summer

Movie-Netflix Maia Mitchell (The Fosters) and KJ Alpa (Riverdale) come together to show what the summer after senior year of high school can be like. It's an awkward time because you want to keep the feeling of high school, while moving on to college time. Its thought of the last summer of freedom, but I don't think that is accurate because most of the college summers are way more chill. I knew this was going to be a cheesy movie and it did not disappoint in that department. It was terrible! I don't even remember how it ended! It was that bad! I did like the nerds finding people they could relate to at the end. But that is the most memorable part of the whole movie. It is not worth watching and for that point writing too much about. I hated it.
