September is when everything changes...

Because of Oregon I didn't really do anything else last week to write about so I'm going to write about all the big things that September will hold because it's a lot. 1) Boston. Yeah with cheap tickets because of COVID, I took advantage and with 2 of my co-workers I am going to Boston. So far it's looking like we'll have to get a COVID test just to be allowed in to Boston... Then we will be driving a ton and I'm not really sure what we'll do but one of my friends is a local so I trust her to show me around. 2) Changing shifts and jobs for 2 months. I'm what they call a floor/row trainer. Which means I cover the people already processing. Basically if they make a mistake I research it and see if it's real and then I make sure that they are competent annually. And I work 8 days in a row and then take 6 days off. But now through October I will be doing new hire (teaching the new people how to process) and I will be working Sunday-Wednesday so I'm

Oregon

This is not what any of us expected. I knew it would be a long drive there and back, but I didn't know it would be like this... So it started with me waking up way too early (6:30) to drive with my parents up to Logan to pack up my baby brother's apartment and move him to Oregon. He had 1 box of things boxed up! Yeah he was not prepared at all! So we spent about 3 hours packing up his house and putting everything in an open trailer that we then had to wrap a tarp around and a bunch of bungy cords to strap everything in. It was not aerodynamic... But we made it to Medford about 12:30AM unloaded everything and then went to get a hotel which we were settled in about 2:00. So long day... Then the next morning we slept in a little bit then went to breakfast and then jumped back in the car to go see my brother's new store which was about half hour away from his house. Then while we were already out there we drove out to Crater Lake. It was a little bit of backtracking but it was

Somebody Knows Something 6

Podcast I don't know why I tried to listen to this. I like his voice but I hate how he organizes these storylines. Or maybe I just don't understand why he picks certain cases? It's just very boring... The first one was so good and I loved how sweet his voice sounded but they didn't solve the case. Season 2 wasn't bad either, but they still didn't solve anything. The season 3 took a more racial tone but they actually did solve the case and I think the guilty parties were arrested, at least the ones who were still alive. After that I don't even remember the cases. I don't know if season 4 or 5 were solved or not because I guess I was over his format? But then I still chose to listen to season 6. I made it through half of the season which is 3 episodes. I just get so mad when people assume that they are the only ones who care or are competent enough to solve the case. I was on board until I heard him say "so the police dug in the wrong spot," li

CrimeTown

Season 1 Providence Rhode Island I never really knew this being from out West, but it turns out that Providence has a little bit of a "crime problem," Listening to this show felt like they needed Batman. It starts out talking about Buddy Cianci who was a radio DJ who decided he loved his city so much that he was going to run for mayor. And he won was the mayor for almost 10 years and then was forced to resign and then 7 years later decided to run again and won! Can you imagine impeaching someone and then re-electing them? But this guy was also on the team of prosecuters in the trial legendary mob boss Raymond Patriarca so that made him a hero so people love him. But it turns out that Buddy was loyal to his friends even if his friends weren't on "the right side of the law" After establishing the kind of shining example the mayor was they started telling us about some of the other player in the mob. This is the kind of story that makes being affiliated with the

Angel Season 1

So last season that I watched on Buffy (Season 4) they spun off Angel with his own show. Originally my plan was to finish Buffy and then watch Angel but then they had Buffy go to LA and meet up with Angel and they didn't tell us what happened. So I had to watch Angel to find out. Also confession; Angel and Cordelia are my favorite anyway... So Angel leaves Sunnydale so that Buffy can have a normalish life. It doesn't really work but I get what they mean... Anyway, this season starts off with Angel doing his thing in LA when he meets a demon that has visions of people in trouble. So they team up and in the process they find Cordelia at a party. Turns out Cordelia moved to LA to be a star but it doesn't always come easily, so when she see's someone she knows she does what she can to be close to them. And then they become a private investigating business. They take clients who come to them and they find people when visions point them out. It's very different than w

House Updates

Because I don't really have anything else to talk about... I finally hired the contractor to start working which means I had to pay a lot of money... And I still have a lot more to pay... But that's called investment. I am pretty excited about this step. And I heard today that the title company finally has the documents for the new mortgage so I think this time I will really be good and finalized with the house. There really isn't any way to explain how stressful this process was. I mean we hit the 2 month mark last week and it still isn't over. I know I've been talking about this for a long time but I just can't believe this process and I've been through it 3 times now. Just other than the house I've started to shut down again. Remember how I was in April? Yeah that is hitting again... I'm trying so hard to stay busy but I just don't want to make plans. It's fine though, my next 2 off weeks I'll be out of town and then I start my new

The Expanse

TV show I was told for about a year how good this show was but I'm a very busy person... And I don't watch Amazon Prime a lot. But as I was sitting at home at the beginning of a slower off week I decided now was the time. I was hooked immediately because I recognized the star of the show as a hottie on The Covenant. Now, this isn't about the Covenant so I won't talk too much about it but Steven Strait, Taylor Kitsch, Chace Crawford, Sebastian Stan all before they were known almost at all. Ok Chace and Seb had been on Gossip Girl together, Taylor had been on John Tucker Must Die, and Steven had been on Sky High (DCOM) but these guys were not famous yet. But Sebastian went on to be an Avenger and Taylor has been in plenty of movies and excellent TV shows since then while Steven had a mediocre roll a little after and then as far as I knew had fallen off the face of the earth. But I knew him the second I saw him, he's much older and not in that ripped almost teenage

Buffy 4

Remember when I was only watching Buffy and I was like I think I'll go through this show too fast so be ready... Well here's the next installment. I watched this a lot slower because I pretty much stopped watching TV... I know! But the fourth season of Buffy was just as good as the others even without Angel. Pretty quickly we meet Riley who is obviously only there to be with Buffy. He's also very attractive in a very different way. Riley has that QB look over that dark and broody look. But Riley isn't as innocent as he seems... It turns out that Riley is living a double life and soon drags Buffy into it. This season has of course; Buffy, Willow, and Xander but also we see a little of Giles, Oz, Spike, and Xander's new girlfriend Anya. But it's still very different than the other seasons. Buffy seems a lot more on her own. Everyone kind of has their own thing going on and it made it not as fun to watch. No offense to the individual characters but I wat
