NO.LA

Travel Oh my goodness, I had the best time! The flight was short and easy and our hotel was cool. We stayed at a place called Sonder at Lafayette Square in the Central Business District. It was more like an apartment but Sonder owns the whole set of apartments and a bunch of others in the world. They were pretty accommodating too. At one point before we got there, there was an issue with the place we were supposed to stay in so they offered another one but didn't tell me that I had to respond within 24 hours which I didn't do. When I did respond they had already rented out the new place but they noticed that they didn't say I had to respond in a certain amount of time so they found me a new place and gave me $100 credit. And it was beautiful. So after we got settled we went to dinner at Luke, I had seafood ettoufee with some sort of cocktail and Caleb had steak and another cocktail. Then we went to the famous Bourbon Street. We caught a few scams in the excitement... We d

RFK Tapes

Podcast I don't know much about Bobby Kennedy but I do know that he was murdered while on the campaign trail. There was a little about him in the TV show Aquarius but not anything in detail. I know a lot more about John and that is what makes me believe that this RFK conspiracy might be more real. The family is said to be cursed but I feel like they didn't help the situation. Dad was known as a shady business man and mom tried to leave but divorce wasn't an option because they were catholic. The older brother died in a military operation very young so all the families hopes and dreams were pushed onto Jack (JFK) who as we know was successful at becoming president but was assassinated almost 3 years into his presidency. Rosemary was born disabled and when she was 23 she was lobotomized but lived with the issues that came with that until she was 86. Kathleen or Kick moved to London and married a Duke in England who died months later and she herself died a couple years late

No Strings Attached

Movie This was the weirdest turn of events because this movie came out the same time as Friends with Benefits which had the exact same premise and one stared Jackie from That 70s show and the other star Kelso! And the twist of a lifetime, they were probably starting this kind of a relationship at the same time they were filming these movies! Honestly I don't know about the timeline for sure, I just know that they started "hooking up" a while before they got serious about each other. They kind of got married quickly but that's because they were "no strings attached friends with benefits" for I think a year or more. Anyway, this is about Ashton Kutcher's movie. And it has Natalie Portman who is obviously a legitimate movie star! Cary Elwes and Kevin Kline are also official actors who are classic movie stars. And then for fun we get the best friends Jake Johnson (The New Girl) Mindy Kaling (The Office and the Mindy Project) and Ludacris! Yeah Luda grace

This is a weird one but I'm thinking, should I go back to school?

Ever since I got my most recent promotion at work I've been thinking about what I should do next. I'm not ready to move on but I'm the type of person who needs a goal. That's why I had to leave my last job, I didn't feel like there was anywhere to grow. I found my current job and got excited when I saw it had so many positions and employees. I felt that I could stay here forever. However now as I'm here and looking for my next step I'm feeling less confident. The obvious choice is what they call a Lead but they have to deal with the stuff that I as a trainer don't have to. If I have a processor give me crap then I can tell they Lead and they will discipline them. I don't want to have to discipline people like that. I don't know that I'm cut out for it. The other option is to try to skip it and go Supervisor who do the big stuff and the promotions and hiring and scheduling and stuff like that. Then there is try to find an office job but there

Mean Girls

Movie Another movie that I watched when I was sick. Obviously another classic... This is a Lorne Michaels production and has many SNL royals in it specifically Tina Fey, Amy Pohler, Tim Meadows, Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer. On top of their comedic genius we have Lizzy Caplan from Freaks and Geeks, Neil Flynn of Scrubs, Jonathan Bennett, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, and Amanda Seyfried who all became big deals after this movie. Well actually I think this was Lindsay's last big movie... But also this role seemed like the ultimate Lindsay role... Like that's how she really is. But I don't know her obviously. This movie has all the quotes. "I'm a cool mom" "Get in loser we're going shopping" "Boo! you whore" "If you're from Africa, why are you white?" "grool" "there's a 30% chance that it's already raining" "she doesn't even go here" "The limit does not exist" and

John Tucker Must Die

Movie This was the second movie that I watched when I was in recovery from staying up all night on New Years. I am actually surprised that I haven't written about this one yet because it was one of my favorite movies in college. I love Brittany Snow! I love Sophia Bush! I love Jenny McCarthy! I love Penn Badgley! Jesse, Arielle, and Ashanti are all alright people and fantastic in this movie. I didn't know who Taylor Kitsch was when first watching this movie as he wasn't a big role and he hadn't really been in anything else yet (Friday Night Lights was the same year but also I watched that much later and The Covenant wasn't a very big movie although another favorite.) And the premise of this movie is the most popular guy in school can get whatever he wants but he doesn't realize how it affects other people. Honestly as I watch this movie from 2020 perspective it has a lot of problems and I'm curious how Sophia feels about it now because she is very PC a

Friends with Benefits

Movie So the other day was New Years and I went out to a party outside of town. At said party we played games until a little before midnight when we got ready to celebrate the new year. Then we started dancing and actually started partying. So we didn't leave until after 1 and then we drove to my friend's house and hung out a little bit making sure everyone was ready to drive home. Then I took the back roads to avoid the DUI checkpoints just in case. All of this made it so I didn't get home til after 2 and in bed til almost 3. Being out in the cold that late made me sick... So the next day I stayed home and watched all I favorite chick flicks... Ok not really, I just went through my Plex alphabetically and picked movies that way. I'll probably write about a lot of these movies because I love them and it was the perfect sick day. Sorry, now to the movie. Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake are gold and perfect together! I loved their characters and the way they acted th

Toy Story 4

Movie I'll start by saying not my favorite Toy Story... I mean, the story was alright but it was a reach. Like I didn't even know that Bo was missing all this time... Was that a thing? I do like the concept that some of the toys would rather be "lost toys" over being stuck in a weird toy store. I like that Bonnie is this super creative kid that can make herself a friend out of anything but her attachment style is a little weird. Like she made a toy out of garbage then got mad when she lost it... This movie was like the opposite of the 3rd one and I think they did it on purpose because the 3rd one was all emotional and sappy. This one was full of adventure and a little creepy... I don't know what to say because it wasn't bad. It was a fun movie, I just didn't get the timeline and well the storyline. It was alright but I won't watch it again.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Movie Ok I don't like changing the classics. I mean I don't want to like changing them... I liked Wicked way more than the Wizard of Oz... I like the Pentatonix... I like Disney's Descendants but I didn't really like the first Maleficent... It just didn't play the same way. But one of my best friends asked to go see it with her and I was like yeah good bonding and I really don't go to movies much. But I really liked this one. It had a twist that I was shocked that hadn't been spoiled. I literally watched the whole movie leaning forward hand on face shocked. I don't know if that translates but I rarely get that excited and I was excited the whole movie. Angelina was bomb and Michelle was terrible but very good at it. Elle was fine but just an extra in my opinion. Also I  love all the fairies so much and they all came off so innocent and they were just caught in a battle that they weren't even really involved in. Not to spoil anything but all of
