Flirty Dancing

This show is only 6 episodes in but I loved it! It's a dating show but Jenna Dewan helps two different people by setting them up with two options on a first date. The way they decide who they want to go on a date with is by teach the main person two different dances; a dance per dance partner. So then all three people spend a week learning the dance taught to them by famous choreographers. I really like this part too because they've had a few dancing with the stars pros as their choreographers. Jenna is super pregnant otherwise she could probably help more... I don't know, it's a new show.  So the concept is that dancing is so intimate that you can tell almost immediately if there is a connection. And let me tell you, that usually the dances are full of chemistry. I made my husband watch an episode to show him how the dancers look when they've never met before. So we get 4 dances each episode and I love them all. Now some of the dances are well, novice... these ar

In the Dark season 2

Podcast The team goes down to Mississippi to investigate a man named Curtis Flowers who was arrested for murdering 4 people in a store in 1996. Curtis has been tried 6 times for the same crime. He has been in prison on death row since 96. The first trial ended in him being sentenced to death by an all white jury. Then there was an appeal based on false statements said by witnesses in the first trial. Then for the second trial he was convicted again but this one was appealed by the Mississippi Supreme Court for inaccurate evidence. The third trial had the same basic things but also brought in racial implications saying that the DA only asked to strike black jury members. The fourth and fifth trials were mistrials. And the sixth saw Curtis convicted again. Since then there have been 2 different supreme court the first resulting in holding that the conviction was ok and the second the court saw racism in 2019. I don't yet know what this will mean for Curtis but he is still waiting f

To All the Boys I've Loved Before Part 2

Movie Actual title: PS I still love you. Ok the first movie wrecked me, I loved it so much I watched it probably every other month. The innocence that LJ has is angelic and romantic and paired with Peter's get whatever he want's personality they make a nice yin and yang pair. This movie carries on that dynamic but you get to see how much Peter really cares about people in general but especially girls he's loved. Lara Jean still has that sweet innocence but now she is in her head like we all would be. See, that's the part that 80s love movies didn't tell us... We grow up with these shows that make us think that love will just happen at this time when we're ready for it. So we get ready for it and then wait until that special moment happens. In my opinion and experience although it probably won't be some perfect guy sweeping us off our feet, love stories do happen. But they fade quicker than people think they will because we think about everything. This

Armchair Expert Dax Sheppard invites guests to talk about their lives and their beliefs and what was going on in their lives. He has famous guests and Expert guests and they talk about everything on this show. I don't necessarily like all of them but it is Stern-like so they get really deep and it's really cool. Last Podcast on the Left This is a dark podcast... They talk about everything True Crime, Aliens, Cults, Religion, and other taboo topics. My favorite episodes are the Men in Black ones. I never believed in aliens until I listened to this podcast. They are comedians too though so it is funny. My husband doesn't like it because he thinks they're making fun of the things they talk about. Cabinet of Curiosities This is from the host of Lore so the voice is amazing! But this one is 20 minutes twice a week so it's easier to follow. It has stories about things hidden by history. All sorts of random things. They are fascinating and like I said easy to fol

General Podcasts that I'm listening to that I like

Best Case Worst Case This is a true crime podcast hosted by a former FBI agent (the same one who does Real Crime Profile and Criminal Minds on TV) and a former prosecutor where they bring in friends and guests who talk about their worst or best case or both depending on the timing. It has a really personal feel and I really like it. The First Degree This one has crime writer Billy Jenson, a true crime television producer, and their influencer friend and they find people who have ties to murders. These are normal people who at some point in their lives were affected by someone they know either murdering someone or being murdered. So another really personal podcast. Side Hustle School This is one that I have been listening to forever but they release an episode every single day so there is no way I will ever catch up. I like it though because it inspires me to do more than just work my full time job. My goal is to have a few side hustles going so that I can always have somethin

You Season 2

TV show Season 1 was so good and season 2 was so intense... But not as straight up good. Which is typical because we already know the main character so we don't get invested in their story as much. But the new love of his life is the girl from The Haunting of Hill House so that was fun because I really liked her. Chris D'elia is in this season too and I've really started to appreciate his comedy. I didn't know who he was a year ago but I love him now. There are a lot of fun characters in this season. Peter Mills from Chicago Fire plays Love's best friend. There are more best friends too and I really like all of them. Ambyr Childers is back from the previous season but her and Penn are really the only returning people. Oh and Penguin from Gotham! That was weird. There is a 3rd season coming too. But I'm also going to talk about other updates that I will probably do this month because new seasons have dropped. So look out for these. Sex Education season 2

Bosch

TV show I wouldn't normally write about this, because I didn't finish the show... I watched about 3 seasons but then somehow my TV watched without me? I don't know but somehow we got messed up and I went to see where we were and could not figure it out. It was super basic anyway. But I'll tell you what it was like when I was watching. Titus Welliver is the only one on the show that I could recognize... Like he's been in a lot but not my type of shows I guess. He does play his character well but his character is really off-putting. He's like if House was a cop... I don't want to say he doesn't have a personality because his personality is just really rude. It's the kind of show where we're supposed to be entertained by everyone else but no one else is fun either... Maybe all of these actors are just on other shows because Jamie Hector was on The Wire, which was a big show. Amy Aquino has been acting since the 80s. Lance Reddick was in all th

Hobbies - Boxing

So I took a boxing class. I got to hit people! Ok they were wearing those mitts things. But it was also a full workout. I love it so much. I've been to 3 classes but I'm about to go tonight. I am terrible at remembering sequences though. This isn't a long post because I don't have anything else to say but I'm trying to be more active and healthy so I'll put all that in here too. My steps to a happier healthier lifestyle. Step one daily routine. I wake up at the same time when I have work so that I am never rushed, I have my routine and I don't stray in the mornings. I also have been wearing real makeup again instead of lotion and fake lashes. Then when I get home from work I only watch TV with my husband and I pull a tarot card and study it, google it, Pinterest it, internalize it, and then write about it. This helps me feel more connected to the universe and I also get some journaling in. Then before bed I completely wash my face and floss my teeth and re
