You

TV show Psychological thriller if there ever was one! Penn Badgley plays the perfect insane character! He's got this look that just scares the crap out of me! The main girl is amazing too but she's nothing compared to Penn. Shay Mitchell is also one of my favorite people from her Pretty Little Liars days. She also plays her character well and I love her. The story has enough real life to make it believable but also enough crazy to well make it crazy. This isn't going to be a long post because only season 1 is on Netflix so there is only 10 episodes but I think they're still going because IMDB has 2 seasons and they left it open. So I will wait patiently for the next installment because I like Penn anyway but this is a new level for him.

Bodyguard

TV show- Rob Stark plays British police officer who is suffering from PTSD from Afghanistan. It turns out he even won a Golden Globe and was nominated for a Critics Choice Award. He was amazing! You knew he was acting because David Budd was opposite from Rob Stark. My husband and I watched the show in 2 days. It was easy because it is a limited series. But it had drama and intensity and excitement. I don't know anyone else in the show but it was British cast. I thought everyone played their parts excellently but Richard Madden stole the show. He's just so good. The show was very good too. The story line is very believable and I think you should watch it.

Celebrity Podcasts

Help I Suck at Dating Dean Unglert of Bachelor fame started a podcast a couple years ago. I listened to it because I like Bachelor, but I'm married and I was also really good at dating when I was single. I just liked hearing about Bachelor relationships. There were actually pretty scientific guests on the show too, which made it seem more credible. But it was boring too. I almost stopped listening to it but then it came back with Jared Haibon and Vanessa Grimaldi and they added new perspective and it also seemed like Jared moved to LA and needed jobs for a reason... Turns out that I was right and that Jared moved back to date Ashley Iaconetti. So that was fun listening to but then I also got bored of that and I don't want to listen to it any more. I might keep an eye out for interesting guests but I won't listen to all the episodes. I got bored. Whine Down  Jana Kramer: Actor, Singer, Dancing with the stars contestant, mom, wife and now podcaster. I love her! And I wa

The Stranger Beside Me

Book- Ann Rule This book is about Ted Bundy. Ann Rule first met Ted Bundy while he was a college student at University of Washington and even though she was an older woman with a family they became work friends. Ted met her kids, she met his girlfriends. They were close. So she has a pretty unique take in this book. I read this book on and off for about a year. It's 800 pages and a lot of details. I read pretty solidly until he got arrested in Florida. At that point I was barely halfway through it and I couldn't believe that I still had that much to read. I figured it was all court stuff left and I was right except Ann still talked a lot about Ted as a person. and she gave updates. The original book was released in 1980 so she had to keep republishing it when he got a stay of execution and then when he was finally executed. I believe the copy I read was published in 2012. So I would say that this is a very popular book. According to Ted, his first kill was in 1974 and he ki

Outlaw King

Movie- Netflix Chris Pine plays Robert the Bruce, in this adaption of a true historical story. It is kind of like another version of Braveheart. I don't think that William Wallace is in this part of the story. Robert Bruce was appointed to a "guardian of Scotland" with John Comyn until he wasn't getting a long with him anymore and left. A few years later when Robert the Bruce Sr. died and passed the family powers on to our Robert. It was then that Robert started noticing the discourse in England, and the way the people were sick of being ruled by Edward I of England. Robert crowned himself with the approval of other Scottish families to be King of Scotland in 1306. He went on to wage "guerrilla style" war 1 house at a time. In 1318 Robert took the last English settlement and demanded that Edward II give Scotland their independence. Edward refused but joke is on him because 2 years later, Pope John XXII gave Scotland their independence and named Robert Bruc

Gilmore Girls A Year in the Life

TV show- Netflix This is a little old but I rewatched it recently so I feel comfortable writing about it. They bring back all of our favorite call backs! Lorelai looks much older but she's done trying to pretend that she is still a young mother. In Lauren's books she talks a lot about the 3 stages of acting. 1 woman about town, 2 mother of young hot girl 3 old grandmas. She's embraced that she is in the second act of life and she's not the hot young thing anymore. She's settled down in real life with a wonderful guy who strangely has Luke vibes... Peter Krause seems like the perfect guy for her even if he plays her brother... But this is about the show. It is crazy how much everything was the same but so different at the same time. Well Lorelai and Stars Hollow is the same, but Rory is very different. Still her but very different... It actually seems more accurate than almost any show I've seen. When we graduate High School or College we see this wide open w

Serial Season 3

Podcast- Sarah Koenig I was a late joiner for this whole podcast deal. But when I decided that I would listen, it was because of a bachelor podcast. I listened to all of the back episodes of those and then remembered about all about Serial and how everyone was obsessed with that. So I listened to the first season and Loved it! Then I listened to the second season and was like eh. Then I slowly started to find more and more and now I feel like I listen to way too many and I can never work anywhere else because I need a job where I can listen to all podcasts only podcasts. Anyway I thought that Serial was dead and never coming back when they announced that season 3 and I was so excited! My husband and I even saved the first few to listen together on a road trip to bond over it. And it was way better then Season 2 but it was no Season 1. It was a very different story line which is cool. They went to a courthouse in Ohio (the first one they found that would let them record,) and follow
