This is an old one and at least in my circle, its not talked about at all anymore. The other morning, I was lying in bed watching YouTube and I saw a video of Lea Michele and Darren Criss announcing their upcoming tour and I got nostalgic. I decided to watch Glee. Its not the same because Finn and Puck are dead both self inflicted and both devastating. Finn overdosed back in 2013 and it was tragic because he was still in the height of his career but fighting depression. Puck hung himself last year after being arrested for possession of child pornography. He was also accused of sexual battery in 2013. This was one of those shows where the the stars got so big so fast and they didn't know how to handle it.
But scandal aside, the music is fantastic and the story is exactly what I've been wanting in my life these days. I was missing my teenage angsty shows. This show had a lot of problems, the storyline didn't always flow but it has the drama. Also i'm starting to write this while watching season 1 so I'm going to be really specific for a minute. 1 Puck is the hottest guy on the show. 2 Finn needs to lose some weight or at least learn how to dance with his extra weight. He leans weird. 3 Jesse and Rachel are a very attractive couple and Jesse did everything he could to be a good boyfriend to Rachel even if he was only doing it because Idina Menzel (his coach) told him to.
I've been writing this as I've been watching since there are so many seasons and its the 2nd time I've watched so, I get confused on the time line but I just watched the Cory Montieth memorial and cried as much as I did the first time. I am so team Santana and I would have reacted much the way she did. Shove it down so hard that it hurts and then cry and cry and cry. I mean, I really think they made it super realistic and that they weren't saying bye to Finn, they were saying bye to Cory.
Um Rachel's other boyfriend Brody is so hot but there is no way that would last. He was not the type that would be able to handle someone more famous and successful than he is. Kurt's Adam was just random and we knew it wouldn't last. Brittany and Sam are probably Brittany's best relationship and actually Sam's too. And now that Kitty is on the show, and I listen to her podcast, I'm super curious how she really thought of the show to the point that I'm tempted to start from the beginning but that is 3 years of catch up!
Speaking of Idina Menzel: Kristin Chenoweth, Whoopi Goldberg, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, John Stamos, Olivia Newton John, Josh Groban, Carol Burnett, Eve, Ricky Martin, Demi Lovato, Adam Lambert, Nene Leakes, Brittney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Matt Bomer, Sarah Jessica Parker, Geraldo Rivera, Gloria Estefan, Shirley MacLaine, Perez Hilton, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyra Banks, Carrot top, Katie Couric, Kathy Griffin, Billy Dee Williams, Skylar Astin, and a bunch of other big names. These are the names that I think they go just from being asked. For the amount of nobodies on this show, there are this many huge fun names. Its a crazy mix of people and just a fun show, I think.
