Season 3
Wow. This series is so intense all the way through but the third season takes the cake. I can't think of any other series this heavy and well just dense. There is so much going on all the time.
The first season we start to understand that time travel is a thing, but can only go 33 years in the past. We learn about many of the characters but we don't see too far in to their personalities. We see into the timelines but everything seems pretty accidental. We get the first crazy weird relative hookup. We also see older Jonas destroy the portal. The second season we learn more about how and why the portal existed. We see the characters start to intermingle in the different timelines. We also get a glimpse at what happens after an explosion at the radiation facility. We keep seeing different characters in different lights because we see them before or after the 2019 timeline that I think of as the natural time.
The third season starts after the explosion and this is where everything gets grossly tangled. We follow the Dopplers from 2019 and that is how we know what's going on in the after math. We know the weird awkwardness that is Elizabeth being Charlotte's mother who is also Elizabeth's mother but we see the storyline that created this crazy circle. We see the craziness that happens as a result of Hannah going back to 1953 and what comes from Katharina going back to 1986. We see Ulrich, we see Bartosz, Magnus, and Franziska. But there is a big twist! We find out how Martha shows up to save Jonas while she's lying on the floor after being shot by Adam.
The third season is primarily about the battle between Adam and the white devil and a third party... Without going into too much detail I just want to talk about Claudia. Claudia is that boss bitch that runs the world. Literally, she runs this world... And we find out that she does everything she does to save her daughter Regina. In fact the other two people battling for existence don't even know that Claudia is involved! It blows my mind! And if you think Jonas and Martha are crazy for dating or Hannah marrying Ulrich's son is wrong just wait because this season blows all of that out of the water. It's completely crazy and yet one of the best show's I've ever watched. This show doesn't slow down at all. It is always putting more and more storyline into your mind. I completely forgot episode 6 because so much happened in episode 7. I plan to give myself a month or 3 and then rewatch it because I know I missed stuff that I want to see.
