The Good Place

TV Show This is a weird TV show. See it's a lot of people acting like angels and demons acting like humans... Which leads to a lot of good acting. So you have Kristin Bell and Ted Danson as the big names in this show but there are a lot of other big names that come and go. Adam Scott, Maya Rudolph, Lisa Kudrow to name a few but there are a lot of other names. Chidi is my favorite character because he spends his whole life studying how to be a good person but still ends up alienating people proving that obsession with anything can lead to negative consequences. I don't want to spoil too much but basically the show follows 4 dead people around while they try to figure out the afterlife. Naturally every season ramps up to a big finisher and we have to wait to see what the next season will bring. Kristin Bell's character is kind of weird. Like a hot mess all the time but she keeps things light and chill, in fact she doesn't focus on anything too long. Basically all of these characters would drive me absolutely insane if I had to hang out with any of them. But that's also TV. The true story of life is that no one is actually as extra as anyone on TV... How many times have you been sitting around with your friends thinking "man, we are so funny we should have our own show" but it shouldn't actually happen. The truth is no matter how dramatic your life is it's not tv worthy. Even documentaries exaggerate. So while I would hate to meet any of these people in real life they make good TV. This show is a comedy like Parks and Rec or the Office. It's a different kind of sitcom but it is a sitcom. I'm kind of glad it only went 4 seasons because I can't imagine how they would have kept it going but I'm glad I got to see it.

Lucy Hale is enough to sell this movie to me. But it was really good anyway. A little predictable but that's not surprising for a rom com. The fun thing about this movie is that it really has a real rivalry. And takes place in publishing. Is publishing that big of a deal? There seem to be a lot of movies and TV shows around publishing. But it's about this small, cute, sweet book publisher who merges with a bigger, stiffer, more capitalist book publisher. And then the teams war against each other. So a lot of it is about the work rivalry but it is also about Lucy and Austin Stowell and how they interact together. It's cute. I would totally watch it if I were you.

TV show Psychological thriller if there ever was one! Penn Badgley plays the perfect insane character! He's got this look that just scares the crap out of me! The main girl is amazing too but she's nothing compared to Penn. Shay Mitchell is also one of my favorite people from her Pretty Little Liars days. She also plays her character well and I love her. The story has enough real life to make it believable but also enough crazy to well make it crazy. This isn't going to be a long post because only season 1 is on Netflix so there is only 10 episodes but I think they're still going because IMDB has 2 seasons and they left it open. So I will wait patiently for the next installment because I like Penn anyway but this is a new level for him.

Baby is real

I think I felt the baby move. It was very trippy. But very cool as well. We also found out recently that it's a girl. I'm having a baby girl. Now that I'm showing and feeling it and can shop for it, it all seems more real. This isn't going to be a long post because there isn't a lot to say. I'm really not doing much but growing a human is enough for me I guess. So we've started shopping. We have a crib, a bassinet and some artwork for the nursery. Also we just have a bunch of cute clothes. Not anything real big although she's going to be born in winter. The next step is a carseat stroller combo. Any suggestions? Basically I want just a bunch of black or grey onsies for her easy clothes and then sweats and leggings to wear over them.
