Firefly Lane

I didn't really like this show at first. I didn't really see the point of the story. Like it's just a best friend show, no real substance just 2 girls who grew up together. But it does grow in suspense and drama so by the end I was like "wait is that it?" And Katherine Heigl made a comeback I guess and Sarah Chalke has been kind of a backup star since Scrubs. So it was cool to see them be in a successful show again if just for a season. I'm sure they will do a second season because Netflix is pretty good at those kind of things. The friendship is based around meeting in high school and then being there for each other always. They move on and follow different paths but Firefly Lane girls forever. So it's kind of like This Is Us where it follows 3 or 4 different timelines with these girls. Always an interesting concept. I like a few of the other actors too but these 2 were definitely made to be the stars. Where it only went 1 season and I didn't really like it most of the show, I don't have much to say but I am curious to see where more seasons will go. I wouldn't watch it for just this season. Maybe wait for more seasons.

Lucy Hale is enough to sell this movie to me. But it was really good anyway. A little predictable but that's not surprising for a rom com. The fun thing about this movie is that it really has a real rivalry. And takes place in publishing. Is publishing that big of a deal? There seem to be a lot of movies and TV shows around publishing. But it's about this small, cute, sweet book publisher who merges with a bigger, stiffer, more capitalist book publisher. And then the teams war against each other. So a lot of it is about the work rivalry but it is also about Lucy and Austin Stowell and how they interact together. It's cute. I would totally watch it if I were you.

TV show Psychological thriller if there ever was one! Penn Badgley plays the perfect insane character! He's got this look that just scares the crap out of me! The main girl is amazing too but she's nothing compared to Penn. Shay Mitchell is also one of my favorite people from her Pretty Little Liars days. She also plays her character well and I love her. The story has enough real life to make it believable but also enough crazy to well make it crazy. This isn't going to be a long post because only season 1 is on Netflix so there is only 10 episodes but I think they're still going because IMDB has 2 seasons and they left it open. So I will wait patiently for the next installment because I like Penn anyway but this is a new level for him.

Baby is real

I think I felt the baby move. It was very trippy. But very cool as well. We also found out recently that it's a girl. I'm having a baby girl. Now that I'm showing and feeling it and can shop for it, it all seems more real. This isn't going to be a long post because there isn't a lot to say. I'm really not doing much but growing a human is enough for me I guess. So we've started shopping. We have a crib, a bassinet and some artwork for the nursery. Also we just have a bunch of cute clothes. Not anything real big although she's going to be born in winter. The next step is a carseat stroller combo. Any suggestions? Basically I want just a bunch of black or grey onsies for her easy clothes and then sweats and leggings to wear over them.
