Vegas

So about a year ago my best friend decided that for her 30th birthday she wanted to go to Vegas. At the time the plan was a little different but obviously as life went on the plan adjusted to what was actually going on in her life. So we ended up going a few weeks earlier because of school and her newly 21 year old sister came with. So it was Alix (Birthday friend,) Gracie (little sister,) Chala (basically platonic life partner of Alix,) Lish (my soul sister,) and me (the pregnant weakling.) This was one of those girls trips that only happen in the movies. We had all the plans, Magic Mike, fully nude strip club, dancing all night, spending all day at a light buzz only to go over board at night to then go home and sleep and go to the pool all day. The dream right! So Thursday night we got to the hotel and got all dolled up and got ready for Magic Mike. That was a show, no details because it's too good to explain but Alix went up on stage and Gracie got to slow dance with one of them and I'm pretty sure every single one of them touched her arm as they passed. Those are 2 very lucky women. Pretty sure Alix wanted to go out dancing after that but we went back to the hotel instead - thank God. Then we slept until 11 and went shopping for another wandering day outfit for our birthday girl. It was unsuccessful but we got cookies. And after that it was time to go to Fremont street and get ready for dinner. That was a fun time. I feel like I got a little contact high because I was giggling a lot! Oh dinner was fantastic too. I had enchiladas and a virgin margarita. Oh and queso dip! Then the party portion of the night was a drag show at a saloon way off the strip. Legitimately walked in and thought this can't be right… But it was and it was the best show! I want to come back as a queen in my next life. Once again Gracie was the star of the show and ended up on stage with the queens and won the contest… And got a free drink from Vipera! She is so lucky. Best 21 birthday ever. But she got wasted. Actually slept in our tub… Then I went to bed and the other girls went to the pool and made all the friends. I'm a little jealous… But I needed the sleep. But Alix met a guy and that is what we all needed. That day we slept all day. Really didn't leave the hotel until 5 but we just went to the strip. We went to Coke world and did the whole thing. Weird sodas… And then we walked down to dinner at P.F. Changs which was delicious. Then we went back to the mall and Alix bought a shirt for that night and then to Bellagio. It's fine, none of us had seen the fountain in a while. Then we went back to the hotel and get ready for the club we were going to that night. It was about 9… Then we got ready and decided we were all too tired and went to bed instead… Perfect night. Just kidding, I actually didn't sleep that night and was miserable… But I would have been more miserable out trying to dance and pretend to have fun all night.
